If you are using an old Vista PC primarily for browsing the internet, then an inexpensive Chromebook might be a suitable replacement. ![]() In my original reply, I recommended Firefox or Pale Moon because those browsers still supported Vista but the day is rapidly approaching when no browser will support Vista (see Update on Firefox support for Windows XP and Vista – Future Releases and Basilisk and Windows Vista - Pale Moon forum). ![]() (At the time of revision, the current version is Chrome 66 and rising.) It would be irresponsible of me not to point out that nobody recommends using an outdated browser. Chrome ended support for Vista in April 2016 (see Google Chrome Blog: Updates to Chrome platform support), meaning that no version more recent than Chrome 49 could be used on Vista. ![]()
